This month's Avenue magazine cover features the Style Q&A I styled with  the owner and DJ from Habitat Living Sound, Mikey Da Roza!  This was really fun for me because not only is Mikey super cool but he has a LOT of clothes! I just got back from a week long, whirlwind trip to New York City for a job with Watermark Advertising. We were shooting some magazine images for Mark's at Jack Studios in the West Village. What a great space! 7 beautiful studios with views out to the Chelsea piers. Nice! I also got to do a shoot with Shannon Greer  at Ten Ton Studio in the Brooklyn Navy Shipyards. Tonight is the 13th annual Bill Brooks Prostate Cancer Benefit (aka The Bum Ball) and I couldn't be more excited! For some reason Carnations have had a bad rap. They get lumped in with baby's breath and geraniums for being ugly and old fashioned. While I still don't like baby's breath, the color of these carnations cannot be beat; bright orang-y red and hot pink! I recently moved to a neighborhood a little further out but with a bike lane. I am going to use it and check out a new store called Bike Bike on 17th ave and see what kind of baskets I can get for it. I might have to ride down to Eau Claire and see about getting an electric motor installed so I can get back up the hill.
